What Quiet Luxury Really Means — And How to Wear It

"Quiet luxury" is a term for choosing quality over logos, comfort over trend-chasing and timeless style over seasonal noise. It is also how we have approached design at Lavender Hill since Isobel Ridley, who trained at Burberry in London, founded the brand in 2013.

What quiet luxury looks like

  • Fabrics that feel good: cotton (including Supima in selected pieces), TENCEL™ Modal and TENCEL™ Lyocell, linen, merino, cashmere and alpaca. You can read more on our fabrics and production page.

  • Wardrobe staples that last: flattering tees, ribbed roll necks and simple loungewear that you will reach for again and again. Look after them well and they will keep their shape.

  • Understated design: no loud prints or logos, just carefully cut silhouettes. Our clothes are designed in Britain.

  • Made in Europe: most of our t-shirts and our nightwear are made in Portugal, and our socks and cashmere are made in the UK (the cashmere in Scotland).

Start with a few well-fitting basics in colours that work together, such as our luxury t-shirts and loungewear, and add texture with cashmere accessories.
