How To Style: Party Season

Party season does not have to mean a new outfit for every invitation. A well-cut top in a soft fabric, worn with one statement piece, works for drinks, dinners and the office party. Here are four of our favourite combinations.

1. The roll neck and a sequin skirt

A black Roll Neck Micro Modal Top lets a sequin or metallic skirt do the talking. Add heeled boots for a winter party, or flat Mary Janes for something more relaxed.

2. The wrap top and satin

Our Wrap Top in black or navy pairs well with a satin midi skirt or wide-leg trousers. The V neckline frames a statement necklace or earrings.

3. The mock neck and velvet

The ribbed Mock Neck Micro Modal Top in black or navy looks sharp with velvet trousers and a tailored jacket worn over the shoulders. Take the jacket off when the dancing starts.

4. The boat neck and tailoring

A black Boat Neck T-shirt under a tuxedo blazer, with straight trousers and a bold lip, is about as easy as party dressing gets.

Tips for party dressing

  • Choose one statement piece and keep everything else simple.
  • Soft fabrics close to the skin keep you comfortable on a long night.
  • Bring a warm layer for the journey home: a cashmere neckwarmer fits in a small bag.
