One of the charities to have benefited from our donations has been CARAS, an outreach organisation based in Tooting supporting people of refugee and asylum-seeking background who live in South-West London. Perhaps a happy coincidence, the word ‘cara’ in Spanish means ‘face’. So, providing a 18 000 masks to individuals facing real adversity and hardship is heartwarming.
Wandsworth Community Transport and Age UK Wandsworth, as well as Waste Not Want Battersea. Since 2017 Waste Not Want Not has been collecting surplus food from nearby markets and distributing it through local community and youth centres.
