Getting started: 5 tips for distilling and defining your capsule pieces
1. Jot down your actual lifestyle, what you do and how you dress in an average week.
2. Start pulling the foundation pieces you wear most often - probably a mix of elevated and everyday. Also an edit of less frequently worn clothes that you love.
3. Check you have mostly neutral shades, with some serotonin-boosting brights, that can cover daily life, work and occasions.
4. With what’s left over, establish what you are happy to sell or donate. Items you’re emotionally attached to but don’t wear, store in another space.
5. Collate your new wardrobe and test it over a regular week. If any pieces are missing or need updating you can adapt from there.
