Why We Love Cotton
We use a number of different types of cotton, most of which are sourced in the US; and all of which is knitted in Austria especially to our specifications. No toxic dyes are used, and all the cotton we use is OEKO-TEX®️ Standard 100 certified, meaning every component of our cotton products has been tested for harmful substances and is in no way a risk to human health.
The Benefits of Cotton
Its natural
Unlike synthetic fibres, cotton is a natural fibre grown from the earth. In short, the fibre is separated from the seeds, before being cleaned and spun into yarn, which is knitted into fabric.
Its biodegradable
Items made from 100% cotton (such as our Face Masks) are biodegradable, and usually take less than 6 months to re-enter the earth.
Its breathable
Cotton is breathable and absorbent, making it great for exercise or just everyday wear. Towels are often 100% cotton for this reason.
Its comfortable
Cotton is often stretchy and soft, with its comfort making it a great choice for sensitive skin.
Its hypoallergenic
A popular choice for baby clothes, cotton is hypoallergenic, meaning it is less likely to cause allergic reactions of any kind.
Its durable
Cotton is a durable fabric that is made to last, and which becomes stronger when wet.
Its easy to care for
We’d recommend washing at 30 degrees, but cotton can also withstand higher temperatures if absolutely necessary and if stretched out after washing. Ironing can often be avoided for items such as t-shirts if they’re air dried flat.
