Lavender Soap Gift Bags

Lavender Soap Gift Bags

We have long been fans of lavender (if you hadn't noticed), and will take any opportunity to share some ways to use it. Our lavender heart soap gift bags are no longer available, but the same ideas work just as well with our lavender bags and lavender soap gift set. Here are three ways to use them.

1. Put them in your wardrobe or cupboard

Lavender, bay leaves, cloves, rosemary and thyme have traditionally been used in wardrobes and drawers to deter moths, and some people still use them this way. Scent alone will not deal with an infestation, so pair it with practical measures: wash or dry-clean clothes before storing them, vacuum and wipe cupboards regularly, and keep knitwear in sealed containers or garment bags, especially wool and cashmere.

2. Put them in your drawers for a fresh scent

This is an age-old tip for a reason. Underwear and clothes that smell lightly of lavender are an instant, luxurious pick-me-up, a bit like staying in a 5* hotel. Try it.

3. Keep them by your pillow

Lavender is a popular scent for pillow sprays and bedtime routines, and plenty of people simply enjoy having it nearby at night. Keep the bag beside your pillow rather than under your face, and if you have a skin condition or sensitive skin, speak to your doctor before using scented products and patch-test first.

The ideal gift for the person who has everything. Shop lavender bags>
