As some of our items are delicate and use wool, they may be hand wash only. However, the care instructions vary per product. We recommend that you check the label on the product you purchase and follow the instructions given.

Modal is a type of rayon, a semi-synthetic cellulose fibre made by spinning reconstituted cellulose.
No, not all of our products are made from Modal. Any products that use Modal specify this on their individual product pages, or in their label.
Nearly all our products are vegan except for our cashmere and merino wool socks.

It is the customer's responsibility to adhere to their local tax regulations; this includes import duty and VAT.

Royal Mail are experiencing delays due to staffing shortfalls so once dispatched, your order may take longer than usual to arrive.

We offer UK first class shipping as standard; this usually takes 3-5 working days. We also offer UK next day delivery for £10. Orders will be delivered on the next working day if placed before 12 noon.
We reserve the right to deliver goods up to 28 days after the date of order although we expect to process orders within 1-3 business days.

We don’t currently deliver to pickup points, so any orders will require a delivery address.

We understand your concern with international shipping, however we have taken measures in our company’s approach to sourcing, production and sustainability to ensure we have a minimal carbon footprint (see our ethical and sustainable clothing).
As we are an online-only business, we aren’t traditional brick and mortar, therefore don’t require our goods to be frequently shipped in at large volumes or require customers to drive to us. Instead, we make small batches of our products to make sure we don’t overstock, and we are as sustainable and ethical as possible in our company practices.
Returns and Exchanges
To return or exchange an order please refer to our returns and exchange policy. Please note that returns will not be accepted if they are incomplete, damaged, worn, soiled or altered returns, or anything Lavender Hill Clothing reasonably believes has been used, will not be accepted and therefore sent back to the customer.
Yes, if you return your unworn items in their original packaging with their tags intact and within 5 working days. However, if you ordered items using our free delivery service and then return the whole order you will be charge £3.95 for the shipping.
The refund will appear in your account 3-4 days after you have been notified by email that we have refunded your order.
In the unlikely event your tee arrives faulty, please follow our ‘returns’ instructions. Upon its arrival at our warehouse we will reimburse you in full, including the delivery costs.
Sustainability
We source all of our materials and produce our products in the UK and Italy, working with family-owned factories that are carbon neutral and support their local communities. You can read about our sustainability practices here.
We do still use some plastic in our packaging but we are working hard to eliminate this and were possible we use recycled materials.

Modal is a fibre derived from the pulp of beech trees. As a renewable resource which is long-lasting and super soft, we find this is a great quality fibre to use in our clothes, and our customers love it, too.
