How to Style a Wrap Top and a Collared T-Shirt

When a plain T-shirt feels too casual and a shirt feels like too much, a wrap top or a collared T-shirt sits neatly in between. Both are as easy to wear as a tee, but the extra detail at the neckline makes an outfit look finished. Here is how to wear each one.

The wrap top

Why it works

A wrap neckline creates a V that lengthens the neck, and the crossover defines the waist without clinging. That makes it one of the most flattering shapes for a wide range of figures. In soft jersey, it also skips the gaping and buttons of a shirt.

How to wear it

  • For work: with tailored trousers or a pencil skirt and loafers. Add a fine necklace that sits inside the V.
  • For the weekend: with straight jeans and trainers, sleeves pushed up.
  • For the evening: with a satin or midi skirt and heels. Black or navy reads as smart without trying.
  • Under a blazer: the V-neck frames a blazer's lapels cleanly. See more in How to Style Our T-shirts Under Blazers.

Our Wrap Top is a long sleeve style in soft modal-blend jersey, in black or navy.

The collared T-shirt

Why it works

A collar adds structure around the face, which is why a collared T-shirt looks smarter than a crew neck on a video call or under a cardigan, yet still feels like a T-shirt to wear.

How to wear it

  • With a cardigan or jumper: let the collar sit over the neckline of the knit. It is a neat, preppy finish.
  • Tucked into wide-leg trousers with a belt, for an easy office outfit.
  • In linen for summer: loose over shorts or a skirt, collar open, sleeves rolled.
  • Buttoned up or open: buttoned looks crisp; open looks relaxed. Both work.

Choose the 3/4 Sleeve Collared T-shirt in soft cotton modal for year-round wear, in navy or green, or the Collared Linen T-shirt in 100% linen for warmer months, in navy, crimson, white, mango or foam.

Which should you choose?

If you want… Choose
A defined waist and a flattering V Wrap top
Something to wear under knitwear Collared T-shirt
